expensive hotel registry

Many cut autographs out of this baby, would you rather have this book or just have 10+ cut autos out of it

    What an awesome item!

I know what Upper Deck or Topps would do with that book

At the current high bid, Upper Deck can cut that book up and make a mint.

$25000 divided by 424 signatures equals $58.96 per signature.

Slap those on some trading cards and that will be the autograph promotions in all their 2005-2008 retro- products.

Wow, a very, very impressive and truly one-of-a-kind piece.

And I am willing to bet that this does get cut off and the pieces sold off...unfortunately.

If the signatures aren't too large for a card they'll end up one eventually

  • I love the way that John Phillip Sousa entered the musical notations. That would really be a fun book to look through.

Great item! I do have a question - it says that the Babe signed it twice. Well, the one Babe and Lou looks good. But the one you have posted looks like someone signed for him.

This one looks more like his handwriting:

Mike, I agree. The pic you posted definately looks like Ruth's own. The other is so far off from any Ruth sigs I have seen.

Well it says that Ruth was from 1920, maybe his sig changed? Just a thought. That book is frickin sweeeeet. I say it is a bargain at that price. If I had that money it would make the ultimate coffee table book. Also it says it goes to 1970 yet it says it has Roger Staubach

On the Ruth, that is possible and also he may have been standing in an awkward position or drunk or both! The R looks weird but I will say the "uth" appears the way he writes. Ya never know. But I agree, it is a great piece and if a dealer purchases it, it will probably be broken into "cuts" to potentially
merchandise with frames/pics - possibly. I see a lot of them at shows that are grossly overpriced due to the fancy pic and ornate frame e.g.

I was watching that auction... I'm not an autograph collector, but if I had $25K to burn, I would have no hesitation buying a piece like this. Absolutely amazing. I hope that it remains intact, as it would be a crime to hack it up.
