Is anyone coming along to the LONDON COIN FAIR next Saturday (5th Feb)?
DETAILS AS FOLLOWS:
Takes place at the Holiday Inn, Coram St., Bloomsbury, London, WC1
9.30am-5.00pm. Last paid admission 3.30pm
ADMISSION £4.00, concessionary rate for pensioners, students and accompanied children £2.00 each.
The fair is held in the Academy Conference suite of the Holiday Inn (follow the signs left from the foyer to the bourse reception) and is on two floors, with all sorts of exhibitors mixed together. Programme and plan available from reception when you register. Mix of dealers, from international traders to solo specialists in coins, medals, paper money, tokens and weights. There is also a good showing of antiquities (pre-1700) to embellish your coin collection.
Fairs average between 65 -75 dealers. It is hectic first thing in the morning but lunchtime is a little quieter for dealing!
HOW TO GET THERE
Russell Square tube station on the Piccadilly line is the nearest tube (hotel is 2 minutes north)
Buses from Euston and Waterloo/Holborn tube stop on Woburn Place (nos. 59, 68, 91, 168).
Bus no. 7 from Oxford Street stops on Russell Square.
The range of material is vast, from pocket money coins in 'junk boxes' to the highest rarities in the British numismatic series. Coins ancient and modern, British and foreign, plus tokens, commemorative medals, some war medals, banknotes, tokens, books and accessories for the hobby are all to be found at the fair.
Let me know if you're coming along and I'll look forward to seeing you there.![image](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/expressions/ThumbsUp.gif)
Cheers
