  • I'll add mine if you help me with instructions on how to do it. I know how to scan them into my computer but I can't link them to my set. I keep getting an error message saying it won't accept certain characters? Thanks for you help in advance.

Name your files using JUST the card number 206 451 etc, I think that will do the trick

  • I am crazy enough too. All of my sets have scans of every card that I have. It is not bad to add scans if you do it as you go along. The secret is keep up with it as you add cards. Waiting to you are mostly complete and starting after you have added a bunch of cards makes the process almost unbearable.

I love it when there are scans. It really makes the registry something special. I really need to start scanning mine in.

  • I upload scans for my sets, but they are small sets. As fishnnut says, it's easy if you do it as you go along rather than wait and do them in large batches. It would be nice if the set registry got to the point where it could be used as a reference to see what a certain set looks like. Mine is the only Venorlandus set with scans, and there are too many sets where none of the registrants have scans.

After all, what is the point of trading cards, if not to look at them!

Thanks to all who add scans of their cards,
but of course, I understand that not everyone has the time.

I have about 750 scans up and I agree with imafishinnut.
Each card was scanned as I added it, which keeps it from turning into a huge project.

I think its great - unfortunately, no way I could do this for my sets at the moment. Too many sets (mostly large sets) and I didn't start out doing them. When my Yaz set is 100%, I'll scan those - but scanning the rest is impossible right now.

    My sets

I have scans up in all my sets. Some of them don't have every card scanned as when I started on the registry my scanner wasn't working. Since I bought a new scanner, every card that I've acquired has a pic on the registry and I'll gradually scan in the cards that aren't yet done.

Same with me only I kept getting that strange character thingy Tunis spoke of. Mark (Morrellman) gave simple instructions (which I will now pass on to tunis and all worked well. I try now to add 10 or so every nite (if im not here fighting with someone) image to my Mars attacks set and 65 baseball.

    Steve

Tunis that happened to me too.......it is the way u name the card u cant have any spaces.....for instance if i scan card 350 in the 65 set i name it 35065 or mantle65 try that worked for me.

    Steve
    Good for you.
  • Steve, You're right. No spaces and it works great. I have done about 20 cards already. I will finish some more tonight. Would like to have clearer, larger images and the other thread explains how to do this pretty well. Thanks for everyone's help.

  • I inquired about insuring my collection and my agent mentioned a listing or electronic record of my collection. Not sure if this is required by all insurance (I'm guessing it is) or if anyone insures their stuff-but you could get double the benefit of scanning your cards.

I agree - having scans makes the registry experience so much more enjoyable. I have added scans to nearly all my sets - which was no small feat!! Now, I scan cards as I receive them so I don't fall behind and have to scan 100+ at a time.

  • I have scans of all my cards on the Registry and my website. It is just a matter of keeping up with it now. I receive a card in the mail or from PSA, I scan it, upload it to the Registry, then add it to my website. It only takes about 5 minutes.
Looking for Los Angeles/California/Anaheim Angels in PSA 8 or better
  • I like to include scans when they are of cards with variations that PSA isn't recognizing yet, like
the 1967 Darrell Brandon "DI" variation.
