Of course I am asking for opinions and there is no right answer. Top set doesn't have to be the most expensive, although I may have leaned towards value a little too much in my picks. It could be most attractive or best player selection or most historic significance or whatever.

I think for singles, this might be easier eg I don't think there any doubt that the Wagner card is number one. For sets, this is much harder, I anticipate that there will be less agreement.

two is not enough, at least for baseball.

33 goudey should be included, maybe 15 cracker jack as well

for baseball, you probably have to break them down by era. A lot vintage collector start their collections around the early 50's, so they dont have enough knowledge to judge some of the scarcer and probably more aesthetically pleasing sets (beyond T206 and perhaps the cracker jacks). Basketball, i believe, only has 3 or 4 "vintage" sets...and of the 3 or 4, i would go with the fleer set just because of the west and wilt rookies.

    Football and hockey..dont collect.
