What's the lowest graded Lincoln memorial cent you've seen?

I've never seen one that was very worn.

Your right, don't see many below fine. It seems cents from 1964 to 1968 wear fairly easily due to their high relief.

    Those would be very rare.

<< <i>During the 1960's when I was trying to fill in my Whitman folder I would often see coins from the teens grading AG. I believe if I look in my box of wheat cents, I know I have a few that are so worn I probably can make out the date. >>

True. They were about 50 years old at the time. Now the earlier Lincoln Memorial cents are nearly that old, but I've never seen one that worn. I think it's because coins don't stay in circulation very long anymore, not like they used to.

I have a 1963-D that must grade VG-10. I pulled it from circulation in about 1989. It is not damaged- just smoothly worn on both sides. I still have not seen one comparable.

About the lowest I can remember seeing was a vf-20 or so.

I think there was a PCGS G04 recently on eBay that went for over $100... 1963 or 1964, I think.

  • I have a 1914-S Graded by PCGS as G06 on Ebay at the moment!
It was a coin I found in a bag of pennies here on the Isle of Man and had graded for fun.

    I've seen a G4 Memorial cent.

(Even before I noticed the previous post, I mean.)

Wow, that 1963-D PCGS G-04 is worse than my 1963-D. Someone in Denver must have been grinding coins down for fun in 1963.
