Early half eagles - a fascinating series if you are into die varieties, but far to much money. At the other end of the spectrum, if I find coins in pocket change there is no reason to pay more than face value other than a few proof sets. Rarity of type will impress me more than condition rarity.

The princess liberty has to look good for me to collect it, and Morgans/Barbers....well....The Peace Dollar I think has the prettiest liberty, though not an exciting set to collect except the proofs.
Moderns - hard to get excited and pay high $$$'s for something that is in today's pocket change.
I dont collect any coins with the same design as the coins I find in my pocket everyday, with the exception of key date Lincolns and I buy 2 proof and mints sets every year.
