Another dealer that can't grade

I just purchased a 150+ card lot lot 1959 topps football from a supposedly reputable dealer and boy was I surpised. Not one of the cards was NM let alone NM/MT. Most have severe centering problems and lots of soft corners. Mostly EX to EXMT cr*p. We'll see if he refund my money. I'm VERY dissapointed.

    The Unitas looks nice, except T/B centering. The cards pictured don't look bad, except for obvious centering issues with some. Are the cards in the scans in the condition as shown?

    The corners are all dinged - which isn't easy to spot in the pictures. I wish I was told that 75+% of the card are o/c at least 75/25 and most have multiple soft corners. Not a good experience.

    The Unitas has 3 bad corners - which isn't easy to tell in the scan. I thought the same thing you did when I saw the Unitas scans - nice bit a touch o/c.

    The dealer wrote right back and offered a full refund. At least he appears honest.

    Those cards look really nice, except the pictures definately look brightened to give them a "pack fresh" look.

    1967and 1973 Topps baseball wantlists (any condition) welcome. Once had the #14 ATF 1967 set. Yet another collector like skylaneflyer, gimel1 who made it to the completion of 1967 only to need the money more than the company of 609 close friends.

    I have dealt with that dealer. I had a problem with a partial set I purchased. He was very reasonable. He asked me what I wanted to do,partial refund,full refund and/or did I want to keep certain cards.

    I agree the corners are tough to see but you can see from the scan that the centering on the cards that were scanned, were not very good.
    Buying 1957 Baseball PSA 8 or higher. Especially Checklists, and Contest Cards. Topps1957psa8set@aol.com

    3 soft corners doesn't equal nrmt-mt. Buying raw online has become a huge risk and here is yet another example. Hopefully he'll do the right thing here. Good Luck, Bob
