I saw a posting on another message board that Collectors Universe settled a lawsuit with some company called Legends of the Game? There weren't many details, I thought someone on here might know what happend?

Thanks!

I think 'poof' means this thread will magically disappear.

  • I would like to know more about the settlement.

But it seems that the board admins here will delete any thread that mentions this incident.

    Why?

Are they trying to hide something?

    What is WIWAG?

Why would PSA delete this thread? That is really sad that they would hide this from their customers. Make one wonder.....

From what I heard I can think of 600k reasons they settled. BTW PSA received the $$$$$$

Sounds like a bunch of people shaking PSA down for money and rather than be tied up for years in litigation and running up lawyer fees with no end in sight, they chose the less expensive option.

Still shouldn't change our opinion of PSA. They're the most consistent and hard working service in the hobby and we should stay by them.

    provocateurs...........
    Good for you.
  • I have only had positive experiences with PSA. I always receive my cards in a neatly shipped package, the customer service is more than helpful, and I look forward each month to the SMR. I was just wondering what was behind the lawsuit, i.e., was the Plaintiff upset about something and filed a claim to harrass PSA? Not trying to stir the pot at all.

I think not Boggs. CU had to pay.

now that the court case is over, maybe PSA will be a little more forthcoming about the whole ordeal.

Boggs is confused right? PSA paid the money I thought!? Too many beers!? image
  • All people want are the facts that they are owed.

Roughly how many cards are involved?
    Modern, vintage, a combination?
What time frame did all this happen?
A list of affected cards or cert. numbers.

As people who buy their product, when we see them sweeping it under the rug and deleting posts asking for this information, it makes them look more guilty than they probably are.

Is this too much to ask for?

My understanding is that there are still lawsuits pending.

If CU's attorneys have instructed its officers and employees not to discuss the matter,
until all the suits have been settled, then what is the point of beating this dead horse ?

  • I think these are great threads and like the follow up threads about what happened to thread about GAWIW. I did read the whole story when the lawsuit was in the news last month and do not know why PSA/CU has such a fear of the merits of the suit/problem being discussed. This is the first place you should be able to find info and talk about what happened. The thread lasted about 3 hours this morning because the word GAWIW was mentioned and was prob. pick up by the board screening program.
