Tragically wounded 1795 half dime

This ought to make everyone cringe:

Two big scratches in front of the face, two big scratches above the date. Ouch, there goes a potential condition census coin. The coin actually has original luster, and the colorful rim toning is really outstanding in person. Not only is this a higher grade piece, but it's also a much scarcer die marriage that is not often found in high grade (V-6, LM-9, R4).

Too bad, but I still like it. Send it to ANACS.

Considering the rarity and value of these coins, I would not mind having this coin at all. A 1795 with luster and that much detail is rare.

I couldn't agree more...I really like the "look" of the coin. For someone wanting to fill this hole in their collection that has no chance of affording a non-damaged example, this coin would seem to be ideal (assuming it sells for the net grade's money or less).
