New to the Boards

Good morning everyone.
My name is Josh, and I just signed for these message boards. I live in the northern burbs of Chicago, and mostly collect vintage cards. I am currently working on a 1933 Goudey set in low grade, and a raw 1965 Topps Set.
I also love to rip wax of current issues, so much fun!

Look forward to talking with you all.

Take care!

I lived in the Windy City my first year of college (Loyola - Campion Hall) and spent one winter in Chicago. I remember that when the Bears won the Super Bowl that year, a buddy of mine stole a roll of TP from the dorm and threw it onto N. Sheridan.

The thing wasn't thrown very hard, but it hit the windshield of a car and I swear that windshield just exploded from the impact. Now either that TP was made of nitro or it was pretty durn cold that night.

  • Yeah, I'm pretty psyched about the National. I have gotten into card collecting this past year after a 10 year hiatus. I forgot how much I loved it. Good to be back.

What does everyone on here collect?

Yes. Soon it will be too late. It's kind of weird that you have the same first name. Like, OMG.

Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!

  • Yeah. Thanks for the welcome. I know bludude from Beckett, kind of, well, not really "know him" per se, just a guy who seems to have a cool sense of humor. I'm mainly a collector of Bowman Chrome baseball, generally from 2002 BCDP to present. I just started recollecting again in 2002 after a 10yr hiatus which started in '92 after the Fleer Ultra 'incident'. I would prefer not to talk about that. One day at a time, one day at a time...
