May go EF-40. The color difference in the obverse and the reverse have me puzzled though.

Wayne, as far as the color difference, it's the picture. Both sides are the color of the obverse. I'm still trying to get the photo thing going!

VF35 and maybe XF40 if it has lustre.

vf-30 TOPS, & really i think more like vf-20. no way would that go xf, in my worthless opinion

Karl:

The fully separated feather detail inside the left wing says "I think I'm XF." So does the distinctly separated and detailed collar of feathers around the eagle's neck. The scan quality isn't good enough for me to make out the other wing, and it suggests there may be some feather detail around the perimeter of the eagle's breast. Those are the reasons why I think the coin may be XF. IMO it's miles better than VF20. Here's a PCGS-40 coin for comparison:

I'd go VF30-35 on this one. I don't see enough to go XF.
