Hello,
Can anyone recommend how to obtain a Joachimsthaler, a thaler that was minted in around 1517-1525 in the Bohemian town of Jaochimsthal (now in the Czech Republic)? It has always been a family dream to own one such coin.

    It depends on where you live, but major coin deales might be able to get such a coin for you. You can also try Ebay.

    It's my understanding that the Joachimsthalers were the grandaddies of 'em all. It would certainly be neat to own one.
