I purchased this 1891-S Morgan hoping it will go DMPL....what grade would you guess and does it make it to dmpl?

You can not tell DMPL from any computer image, ever. It looks dirty so wash it in pure acetone or alcohol. Then angle it to see if you can clearly read newsprint on the fields at various distances. If the letters are clear on both side a 7.5" inches or more, it's probably DMPL. There can't be polishing marks on either side that interfers with the clarity either. If it's watery and mirrorlke, but you loose clarity at 3-4 inches, it's probably PL. The contact marks are permissive of perhaps a 63 grade IMHO.

I have pure acetone and alcohol, can you describe the 'wash' process and if there is risk involved......Thanks.

Anyone explain the 'wash' process in detail. If it removes some of the cloudiness then this will get a dmpl designation...

I wouldnt "wash" it. Looks like 63Pl and their is not much that could change it.
