Got Grades - MORE low graded coins YEE-HAW !

Got me 2nd BB for an 1810 cent. which is noted as damaged...its slightly cupped but it was worn to PO01 grade so I had to try......so this submission resulted in:

3 NEW coins for my Registry set
7 Downgrades to my Registry set
1 duplicate (the 1907 $10 which I thought should have been a VG08)
1 BB for damage

Not bad considering all the submission were 90% completion Registry set freebies!

    Way to go!

Send a scan of that PO01 Buffalo if you get a chance. (No date at all, right?)
    When in doubt, don't.

That was my question, too - how on earth did you find a type-I Buffalo worn down to PO-01 with a readable date?! Or will PCGS certify it with a date since it is a one-year type? image If it's dated, then that is one coin I need to see to believe.

You don't need to be able to read the date to know it's T-1 IIRC. I've got one with a date you can't read, you just need to be able to see the rising land underfoot of the buffalo image.

Daniel is correct -as I recall, the coin has a partial date (pretty amazing) of about 1/2 of the 3.....but the key is the reverse and seeing the mound AND that there isn't a MM. Once you have those two, the coin is pinned down......and BTW, about 1/2 of the mound is worn away as well as most of the lettering worn into the rim......

But my type 2 is stilland AG3 sogoing to have to keep lookig for a lower graded piece..... image
