5 - the toning looks very close to the type found on Bass pedigreed morgans

High end 64, possibly a weak 65. The reasons are the obverse: spot in front of the eye, scrape in front of the nose and mouth, and the long scrape behind Liberty's hair. That said, I bet it would get into a 65 slab in today's market.

That said, it is really a lovely coin and should sell for close to 65 money.

I went 64, just too much on the cheek and eye brow to go 65, plus the reverse seems to have scatterd marks as well.

Might go 65 but would like to see it in person to check for how much/little chatter it has.

Initially, I was thinking MS64. (scratch in front of face, mark (or is it some kind of toning) behind the hair?)
Then, the overall look changed me to MS65.

It appears my vote is consistent with the mob today.... 15 others have MS65 as the grade.

I liked it and guessed 66. I'd have to see how bad the scuff is on Liberty's nose and in the field at 4 o'clock in hand for it to be more than a guess.

Looks like a couple fo hits on the nose and eye plus it looks a bit spotty. . .MS63 for me. . .

Very nice

I voted with the 65 mob mentality too, but I can't help but wonder if that might be a fingerprint on the reverse between 6 and 7 o'clock.

Probably not, need to have it in hand to be sure.

The dark area on the cheek from the luster may be covering some marks in a very very important grading area of the coin. The hits in front of the face in the field don't exactly jump out at you in the photo but may be more obvious in-hand. The strike is very nice, full breast feathers, full hair above the ear. Without personal inspection I'd say MS63/MS64

Actually, it looks just like the one I have in an ANACS holder with the exact same toning pattern on both the obverse and reverse. Mine is a 64 and I will go with that for yours too.

I was on the fence between 64 and 65, like most of the respondents. From the obverse, the marks in the field in front of the portrait and behind the hair made me think 64, but the reverse is so nice it pulled me back up to an overall grade of 65.

Now if there is a big price jump between 64 and 65, then I'l revise my guess back down to 64.

It's a solid 65 and would easily cross at PCGS. With the new fees though, not worth the trouble.

I guessed ms64. Looks like a good grade. I think it should cross! But that is up to PCGS. The fees aren't too bad yet, are they? When they are EBAY TYPE fees I may have to quit TPG coins!!

There is absolutely no question this would cross at PCGS. On a common date, it's not worth the trouble on a coin you plan to hold. I may change this if someone wants to make a little wager.
