Would like feedback on Stacks??

Is Stacks for the big players? The reason I ask is I wanted to bid in there 1/20/05 auction. Filled out the forms. Was contacted and told they would send my password. Never received, and they have not responed to my request since then. If I am not allowed then why not just tell me. I may not have much money but one coin they sold would have gone at a higher price than what they received. Just trying to find the areas I may play in.Thanks

  • Big for old time collectors and major players. Nearly everything they sell / auction, is raw. But that doesn't mean the little guy can't play along too. Give them a call to see whats up. They have been around a very long time, but can lean towards being a little on the elitist side.

I only bid on a Stack's coin if a dealer represents me at the auction, and I talk to him about the coin after he views it.

While I certainly wouldn't base an opinion of a dealer's or auction house's expertise on one coin, they did call the 5th 1913 nickel a fake.
