Caroline and the Milan Plot

In the process of our Christmas exchange Kevin (canadiancoinguy) sent me this great little medal.
Queen Caroline was George IV's wife, living in Europe in virtual exile. George had married Mrs. Fitzherbert in an Anglican ceremony and was, technically, a bigamist. He was therefore interested in divorcing his loud, obnoxious and offensive German queen. A divorce bill was introduced and a commission sent to Milan to dig up evidence against Caroline, something it had no problem doing. But it turned out to be very inpolitic for the report to be published and it was dropped. The King's enemies seized upon that and this medal is one such response. It was produced in copper and brass and this copper example is rare.
I tried to give it back...![image](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif)

Thanks Kevin, it turned out to be a very tough piece to photograph.
