Ebay's Unpaid Strike Count

So what is the magic number? I was reading some of the updates and saw their new process and it seems as if they don't give a precise number of strikes before you get your crap cut off.
Anyone have any input as to what they have heard?

I know it used to be 3. Not sure if that number has changed or not. I wish a bidder's strike count was visible to all. It's more relevant than feedback IMO.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

As in 3 Strikes You're Out!....With eBay, usually refers to someone getting 3 negatives for non-payment..they are then suspended and are NARU.

It has nothing to do with negatives it has to do with number of times sellers have reported the buyer for non-payment. Everytime a seller gets his Final Value Credit that buyer is given a strike. I rarely neg NPBs because aof a serious flaw in the feedback system once the credit is given I don't think the buyer should be able to leave any feedback at all but they can. I usually just get my credit, add them to my BBL and move on .

Exactly - suppose you have 10 completed auctions with a NPB. You can leave a neg. for each one of the 10 scum-bag buyers, but you can damn-well guarantee you'll get a retaliatory neg. in return.

Therefore, each NPB has one neg, and after you're done, you have 10 RETALIATORY NEGS!!! Your feedback looks like crap (on the surface) for simply following the "rules".

The simple solution is that once a seller receives his his FVF back for non-payment, the buyer SHOULD NOT be allowed to leave feedback, or any feedback related to that transaction by the buyer, should be removed. It's frickin common-sense, but hey, this is scam-bay we're talkin' about.

Damn, I'm in a crappy mood todayimage
