What a difference a picture makes

I won an 1954-D end-roll toned cent off eBay last year for $17.53.

That sellers picture (on the left) was photo-shopped enhanced to make the colors look day-glo, and when I got it I could see the colors were there but not as intense.

So it winds up in my "sell" box and I listed it on eBay. Since it didn't look as intense as the sellers picture I took my own. But since I can't take pictures of toned cents (or other coins for that matter) I wound up taking about 10 at all different angles and made a collage for the auction. (You can only see the most bold blue streak from the "T" to the wheat in my pictures).

So I list it opening at 1 cent with no reserve - and it gets no bids. Maybe it was my high $2.00 S/H that scared them off?
