  • It looks delicate. I'd assume he plans on doing some special packaging as well as special rate shipping.

  • Ok, I should have been more clear. I think the price that the seller is charging me for shipping is ludicrous and laughable. I bought another larger model (1/18 as opposed to 1/24) from GB at the same time and they only charged me 6 pounds for shipping to Canada.

  • Ask if shipping can be reduced or what a minimal amount might be.

  • Well, if I had an Army, Navy and Air Force I would invade Great Britain and chastise the seller for his exorbant shipping fees, but since I do not a letter will suffice, politely requesting him to lower his shipping fee to a reasonable amount.

  • I know it doesn't help you any now, but I always try to resolve these questions before the auction ends.

Other than that I just don't deal with the English....because their Pound is too strong right now.

  • I buy quite a bit of stuff from GB and for the most part they are very fair when it comes to shipping costs. I expect the seller is figuring his packing and extra weight into the shipping amount. 15 pounds does sound a bit high though. Email him - he'll probably come down to something reasonable.
