Question about current 60's commons grading special

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a question I have about the current commons special. I am a Ken Boyer collector (among other cardinals) and have a number of his cards that I'd like to have graded, however I'm not sure if they would be eligible for the 1960's commons special because some of his cards are listed in the SMR. I just want the cards holdered for my display as some are not worthy of a high grade, but I haven't been able to pick them up holdered. Examples include 1961, 1962, 1963 post cereal, 1962 bazooka, 1964 topps coins, 1962, 1963 salada coins, 1965 Topps (grade of 7 at best). I don't mind spending 8/per card as they will stay in my collection, but with the new scale of $15/per or even the $12/5 day special it makes it tuff. I saw someone on ebay currently has the 1964 Topps coin graded as a 8 so maybe I'll try my luck at bidding on that.

Anyone else have a similar question or have an answer? Your help and feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Drew

I think you could send MR Boyer in as a common. Even though he is a minor star in most sets. MVP winner in 64 etc. Good luck
    Good for you.
