Can an 18th Century Krause owner look this up ...

1788 Barbados Penny, I'd call it AU-ish, though I don't really see any "rub" (maybe UNC?) and it still has red around the devices. Weak strike top of reverse, with a bit of planchet flaw, I think. I'm looking for Krause#, mintage, values ... whatever's available. Thank you image

This appears to be a Type III (large head, large pineapple) version of the token - identified in Krause as Tn 8

Estimated mintage 200,000 listed as $50/XF No values in higher grades given

    Tom,

First krause lists two varieties of original copper pennies and two restrikes.

    TnA9 - 1788 Restrike small pineapple - proof only - value =$325
    Tn4 - 1788 small head, small pineapple - proof only - value =$350
    Tn5 - 1788 small head, larger pineapple - mintage 5,376 - XF = $200
    Tn5 - same as above in proof - value = $250
    Tn8 - large head, large pineapple, wiry hair - mintage 200,000 - XF = $50

No prices given for business strikes above XF. Either way nice coin. Yours is either a relly nice business struke or a slightly impaired proof. Looking at the Krause photos (which are not great) I'd say that yours is the Tn8.

Surfaces are not prooflike in any respect, so I'm sure it's a business strike.

Thank you guys VERY much for your help image
