Football HOF rookies

Has anyone seen the crazy prices on E-Bay lately. A Dave Casper 1977 PSA 9 just sold for nearly $300 while Selmon and Webster PSA 9 rookies went for at or a little more than $200. Wow. I guess that I'm searching for a nice raw example and submitting it myself

    Yes, Football HOF Rookie remain very strong, even up over the last 12 months.
    Not seeing 77 Rookies as often as others, along with that seller made the demand higher than usual.
    Sorry you couldn't snag any this round. I see you did pick up a nice PSA 8 Simms Rookie recently image

    Yes, that Casper went out of this world really.

    Nothing new in this camp...Card prices in relation to the SMR are anywhere from 3X to 10X...The last time the SMR was correct on the Football HOF RCs was about 1999...

    Anytime the ultra-rare(Pop less than 10's) come up you can expect that all the HOF RC collectors (myself included) will be fighting for it...Funny thing is, the biggest spender of them all Museum of Sports History didnt even bid on those two...

    Prices continue to be strong, but it seems once the pop passes 10-12 cards in a grade, prices start to fall.
    An example is the M. Haynes RC PSA 9. This card was a steady seller at $200+. Recent sales have been in the $140-$150 range. Prices will drop and eventually level off, but till than it's a sellers market.
    BTW, I can use the Selmon, C. Joiner, J. Riggins and T. Hendricks RC's in PSA 9.
