That "guy" is a woman. I posted her real address earlier in this thread.
"Lenin is certainly right. There is no subtler or more severe means of overturning the existing basis of society(destroy capitalism) than to debauch the currency. So I think I should pay him, wait till I get his feedback and then we can come up with something nice to put into the feedback. You guys can help me out on that. >>
I have a sneaky feeling she doesn't leave feedback untill the buyer does. Hope I'm wrong on that.
To bad you didn't win something that is an obvious fraud. Check out that round, maybe it's not sterling, that would be clear fraud if it's actually something else.
I'm really surprised someone hasn't shown up at her door with violence in mind by now.

I appreciate the idea of buying something so that you can neg her. But she's a scam artist. She's had hundreds and hundreds of sales to the same, likely fake, accounts.
She'll just add a couple hundred more fake positives and your negs will get lost 20 pages back.
We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last. --Severian the Lame
Doesn't she have to pay Ebay for all those fake listings and phony purchases? So at least shell spend a lot of money on fake feed back , then I'll post on the other item I bought.
If you add a "tw" between "feedback." and "ebay.com/whatever" in the address field, you can have 125 characters max in your feedback, giving you room to leave more negative feedback. Only problem is the page will load in Taiwanese. But the feedback layout is the same as in English.
Edited for grammar.

That got you NARU'd! Just shows you what being a PowerScrewer can get you.... We have GOT to get that !
This is unbelievable. eBay lets this scumbag rip off artist POS continue stealing thousands of dollars day after day and week after week in the face of overwhelming evidence of fraud, and yet they immediately NARU coynclecter for trying to warn potential victims. eBay, get your head out of your ass!
They are a "cash cow" for EBAY. But if EBAY dont take a hit on the front end and stop this brazen robbery, then they will at some point in the future take an even bigger hit when some big time lawyer takes them on in a class action suit. If I were running EBAY, I would stop allowing this type of activity. Right now.
In an insane society, a sane person will appear to be insane.
<< <i>That got you NARU'd! Just shows you what being a PowerScrewer can get you >>
Yeah, well, I've been kicked out of better joints then Ebay. Besides, they want my money too, so a few emails will fix it. Like Terminator said. "I'll be BAK"
I wonder if the seller's local newspaper might be interested - but it would mean people would have to go on the record with their experiences. I think it would make a good story.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
I'm an eBay shareholder. Not a big one, but I've owned eBay common stock for several years now. I just called and left a message with their investor relations department. I said that eBay is losing much needed credibility in the eyes of one of their most important constituencies (coins are one of their biggest categories), through one of the hobby's most active and visible venues (the PCGS Forums through Collector's Universe).
Sometimes you have to try, even if you think it won't amount to anything.

I see that being a Powerscrewer has its benefits. EBAY protects thier cash cows. It took him 2 hours to get me NARUed and I can't get a reply from ebay about the details.
all they said was:
<< <i>We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended due to the violation of our site policy below: >>
<< <i>False or missing contact information - Falsifying or omitting your name, address, and/or telephone number ( >>
and they haven't answered my reply yet. My bet is that I didn't update my record when they changed my area code last year.
You're all probably tired of hearing this eBay crap out of me, but I feel it's a worthy cause, so here I go again.
Quote from Coynclecter:

It seems eBay acts at the speed of light to NARU the good guys, but acts at the speed of molasses in February to discipline bad actors with a PROVEN track record of fraudulent behavior.
Forum member Conder101 pointed out eBay's policy for Coins and Currency and provided a link in a recent thread of his:
<< <i>eBay has worked with the American Numismatic Association (ANA) to help improve overall trading safety within the Coins category on eBay. >>
and ....
<< <i>Failure to do so could result in disciplinary action by eBay and possible suspension or loss of selling privileges. In addition, such failure may be grounds for further disciplinary action by the ANA against its members. >>
Perhaps some of our Forum ANA members can create a channel directly to eBay to help identify violators and pressure eBay to enforce the policy? Are there any ANA members in our Forum that have any clout?
If I only had a dollar for every VAM I have...err...nevermind...I do!!
Coinguy1, with the two auctions your just "linked" in your recent thread, PJD1966 AGAIN violates both eBays policy and the Hobby Protection Act concerning these latest auction of undisclosed coin "copy" replicas. This is another attempt by her to deceive and rip off unsuspecting bidders (I don't care how "naive" or "greedy" the bidders are).
Just using the word "coins" is a violation of the Hobby Protection Act regardless of the eBay auction category she lists them under.
From the Hobby Protection Act ...
<< <i>The term "coin" is commonly understood to be a piece of metal issued by governmental authority as money or legal tender. >>
And...
<< <i>the use of the term "coin" may mislead consumers as to the actual product being offered. Alternative terms such as "replica," "medal" or "medallion" should be used in order to avoid confusion. >>
And eBays policy...
<< <i>Sellers agree not to knowingly sell, exhibit, trade, produce, or advertise a copy or reproduction of any numismatic item if its nature is not clearly indicated by the word "copy" or "reproduction," incused in the metal or printed on the paper thereof. These items are allowed to be sold provided: >>
<< <i>1) their sale does not violate applicable laws or copyrights, >>
<< <i>2) the item is incused in the metal or printed on the paper thereof as a copy or reproduction on the front or back, and >>
<< <i>3) the listing title AND description clearly state that the item is a copy or reproduction and includes an image of the marking. >>
It's just friggin' AMAZING this seller's intentional deception hiding behind her "Power Seller" status. Sell a bunch of junk and every once in a while toss in a deception to screw someone out of their hard earned money!! Isn't it strangley coincidental that she is perpretating these frauds AGAIN on weekend listings?!!
I will try to report it to eBay and the IFFCFBI again tonight. I haven't been NARU'd...(yet) but expect it soon (I'm a good guy like you)!!
If I only had a dollar for every VAM I have...err...nevermind...I do!!
I have never reported a seller before, but at your urging I have used eBay's report mechanism to send a polite email to eBay suggesting that these auctions be canceled and perhaps the seller sanctioned.
This sellers listings are in violation of eBays code of contact. These "things" are base metal copies that are just plated with silver. They are marked copy on the back. The eBay code of contact REQUIRES copies of this sort to be identified in both the description text AND in the title. It also REQUIRES the copy marking to be shown in the auction image.
This seller makes a habit of running such auctions. In the last auction listed above (3953616316)they sold one of these fakes with her "All looks good to me" line for over $1700. The manufacturer of these sells them for $19.95 and no experienced coin collector would pay even that much for them. As fakes, to a coin collector they might have a novelty value of about $5.
Maybe pointing out that she is violating eBays own rules and what those rules state will help. But I doubt it.
Well, Id love to report her but I still have not gotten word back (2 requests sent) from EBAY since she had me NARUd last week. Funny too, she had my neg removed from her feedback but her NEG still remains on my feedback. Considering she has 5600 sales they are fighting hard to protect thier cash cow.
I've reported these last transactions for you NARU'd guys as well (we need a forum symbol for NARU'd...maybe a special kiss from eBay!!
---
Does eBay make a percentage of the final sales transactions or a flat fee for listings? Unless I'm wrong, I believe Paypal receives a percentage of the total sales for credit card transactions. Does eBay have any financial connection to Paypal?
It would seem to me that anyone who profits from an illegal transaction, especially after it has been reported to them, becomes complicit if they do nothing to correct it
Or maybe I've just watched WAY too many episodes of "Law and Order"?
Thanks for the heads up Guys!
If I only had a dollar for every VAM I have...err...nevermind...I do!!
<< <i>Wow! whoever the high bidder is on that first coin must have bid pretty high. A "friend" of mine just bid $2100 and still is not the high bidder! >>
It could be that there is another person who wants to win the auction for the same reason your "friend" does.
If anyone here is bidding on that seller's items, try not to do anything (such as immediately leaving negative feedback if you win) to give Ebay an excuse to NARU you - that would defeat part of the purpose in making life difficult for the seller.
This and all rip off artists need to be eliminated somehow.
There has to be others just like her doing the same thing to unknowing individuals.
If someone could get these bad sellers names(ebay sellers ID's) and report them to the authorities, FBI or whomever would listen, then maybe we can get rid of her and a few others.
<< <i>If someone could get these bad sellers names(ebay sellers ID's) and report them to the authorities, FBI or whomever would listen, then maybe we can get rid of her and a few others. >>
Your welcome to join in on looking for and reporting eBay Scum like her. Your "two cents" count. You don't have to be bidding or have won an item to report fraud to eBay Security or the IFFCFBI.
Several forum members reported an eBay seller from China recently who eventually got NARU'd a week or so ago after reporting him. He operated under at least three different eBay "names" and e-mail addresses (I have proof). At least one forum member got NARU'd by eBay on this guy, but he saved several eBay members thousand$$ of buck$$.
I'm hoping when the IFFCFBI and eBay Security wakes up and goes back to work this week they'll give this "Power Seller" their special kiss and NARU this scum. --- Speaking of EBay Security...Forum member Millertime just opened a new thread eBay fraud questions . Millertime mentions he has a neighbor who works for eBay dealing with fraud somehow.
