Mantle commemorative baseball - valuable???

Hi everyone:

I was cleaning out my storage tonight and I found, in a holder, an official commemorative American League Baseball from Mickey Mantle Day on August 25, 1996. I'm not sure how many of these were produced and if they are worth anything. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

    Hi Frank
I see no one has responded and I am clueless. My intuition tells me that they were made by the ton, so they are probably not rare. Having said that, Mantle autos are white hot on ebay and anything with Mantle may have interest.

    Sorry couldn't help.

  • Thanks Mike
  • if, by chance, would the ball have a black "7" on it and maybe black stitching? If so, I might be able to help

  • Hi Bill.....yes, that's the one. Thanks
  • ahhh . . . the magic of my vast collection (or should I say my collection my "ex" has in her possession and I'll never see again). The Mantle baseball was a hot item back then. I got mine out of an SCD ad and I think I paid around $10 for it which included shipping. Truly awesome ball, but I would guess it would sell the same on ebay right now, with box.
