Some vintage hockey I've never HEARD of!

1952 "anonymous" Henri Richard

1952 "anonymous" Don Cherry

Does anyone know anything about these? He has many others including Harry Sinden and John Muckler.

  • I noticed those as well, but I don't know anything about them. Anyone out there got a Charlton hockey guide?

They're '52-53 Juniors Blue Tints. The 2001 Beckett annual guide lists the Richard at $275 in NM and $125 in VG-EX. The Cherry is the most valuable at $350 and $160 in those conditions.

I knew Cherry had a 1952 card of something or other. I couldn't remember if it was a Laval Dairy card (though I think Lavals were only in Quebec now that I think about it.)
  • Some info I obtained from the Charlton guide

    1952 - 1953 OHL Anonymous. It is a 182 card set. Each card measures 2" x 3".

They list the Cherry at $300 in nrmt and the Richard at $325 in nrmt.
Other notable names in the set include Al Arbour $90, Charlie Hodge $85, Harry Sinden $75
Doug Mohns $55, Ed Chadwick $60, John Muckler $50, Claude Provost $55, Phil Goyette $45
commons list at $15 in nrmt.

    Have a great day.

    Rob.....

Edited to add : As Yawie pointed out, they are also described as a blue tint photo with a white border.
