Pretty busy show today. I got there about 15 minutes early so I could be one of the first in line. Good thing, too, because by the time the show opened there were about 70 people waiting. For those who don't know, that's a LOT for shows in this area.
Show was about 40 tables, usual circuit dealers plus some extra faces that come out just for this one. Mostly the same tired material I've been pawing over for the last couple years, but I did manage to pick up a few proof sets. Nothing in the "you suck" category, but some cool stuff.
One local guy who has to be about 140 years old apparently doesn't like toning. He had some sets all labeled "toned" and priced at $7.95, which is below Greysheet. So, of course, I bought them. All had pretty toned Jeffersons, but some had other toners in the sets.
That last one is extra cool because it's also a cameo.
Did manage to find one set with a cameo Frankie:
Only grades PR66CAM, though.
And, of course, the obligatory 1964 proof Kennedy:
Full cameo obverse with a reverse that's just on the cusp. But, AMAZING surface preservation. Nary a blemish of any kind anywhere. Great eye appeal even if it isn't quite there for full cameo.
From the very cheap, but cool anyway department comes this 1953-S Lincoln:
Also picked off a couple Accented Hair sets, but nothing special about them.

You DO suck!
The stupid repairman for the furniture I bought (to repair the skuffs and scratch) called 40 minutes before I was going to leave and then took awhile getting here and 2 hours to do it all....so, I was late getting there (1pm)
You got some cool, low cost, items.
You were right that a lot of it is the same ol same ol. Even for me.
I got a few cool mint sets though, including a 1978 that has a really green toned kennedy and a toned Ike. $7 for the set, so I got it.
Picked up a few other things, including a MS64 die break (above the STATES and such) Morgan and some more mint sets, but there really wasn't anything really cool.
I did get a 1968 UNC roll of kennedys that had the first one opened (no toning) that I am going to open up.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I thought sure I'd run in to you there. That explains why I didn't. I was out of there a little after noon.

I was going to make it by 10:30 or sooner, but, well, life got in the way.
You were right on the dealers though....there were a couple of "new" ones.
btw....Woodbury's in Crossroads Mall (Bellevue) is no longer there...not sure if you had ever gone there or heard of it. It was my ONE local coin shop for supplies without paying shipping and getting it immediately.
Maybe catch ya at next month's minor show(s).....

Did somebody say --Die break--? Please post photos if you get the chance!
BTW, Russ very cool finds. What do you think 64 Kennedy grades? Snowed in here for the weekend with a raging near-blizzard outside. And I'm down to my final pack of Marlboros...
