<< <i>My advice for all its worth is to open it up, keep the best 2, and sell the rest on the bay as soon as humanly possible (Remember the 95 DDO Lincoln). >>
I'm going to have to concur with this statement.

Me three...If they go to the moon...you'll have kept the best set and will enjoy the price appreciation. If they hit the skids...you will have cashed out most of your coins at or near the top. Definately.....keep the best & sell the rest!!!

Have these only been found in rolls, or were any in mint sets or bags? Are they showing up in one area, or scattered?
<< <i>Is it worth buying the US Mint rolls that are still available? Dave >>
Dave - I really dont know. I did purchase a 1000 coin bag to give it a shot. Downside is $50. I did not find any yet but have not finished the bag either.

I bought (5) 1000 coin bags. Regardless of what happens...I figure in about 10 years they will be desirable. I am not going to open any of them.
i agree with the others, keep the best, flip the rest, and quickly. will the best one or two sets be slabbed?
maybe we could have a guess the grade thread.
while the roll isn't worth any "you suck!", as you clearly paid for what you got. perhaps a "you lucky dog!" is in order as you dodged a bullet there finding those 7 pieces, any less would have made the purchase a tad high.

No these are Orange white and I don't actually think the fed wraps them but a contract company.

i'd have to now disagree with my above agreement, and say; slab them all, sell the worst set and spare coin to recoup costs, keep the other two sets for a year or so at least. they are shaping up to be a desired piece. hope you got some nice pieces, 65+, pics?
nice score on the roll!
<< <i>Very interesting. All this talk about the Wisconsin Quarters actually convinced me to go and purchase a 100-coin bag of the Denver Mint Wisconsin quarters. I figure the $40 is worth the risk. (Since in reality, I'm only risking $15 on this purchase). Now comes the tough decision on whether or not to open the bag. >>
Good question open the bag or not. I would not open the bg until you can determine is they do occur in mint bags. if they do show up then I would either sell the bag or open it.
Good luck - brian
<< <i>I need to go look at my mint sets. >>
Most modern varieties do not appear in mint sets. While mint set dies are used
for only around 30,000 strikes there are still relatively few dies used to strike coins
for these sets. This means that there will be relatively few varieties which appear
in the sets and those which do will be more common since mint set coins are far
more likely to survive.
<< <i> Results - 4 Lowers and 3 uppers 7 coins total 3 sets >>
Somebody please tell me how 2 different varieties end up in the same roll??

N F String does the govt rolls, I think. http://www.nfstring.com/
My guess is that the Schuller presses at the mint that hold four coin dies strike I think about 800 coins a minute. two different dies stuck the varieties and the coins once struck go down a converor belt into a giant bag for shippment to the sorting facility where they are wraped by xyz bank.
thanks, that seems logical. At first it seemed bizarre to me that 2, or is that 3, different die products could be in the same roll.
