Hi guys ....gotta run to WESPNEX but wanted to post in case you might be making the trip.....the latest weather says snow coming in midday with about 4 / 5 inches and then more snow tonight....we will end up with a heck of a lot of snow by Sun.....because of this several dealers did not show up on Friday.....Dart, New World, etc......many dealers packed up last night and will not return today on Sat and the rest of us die hards feel that we will be packing up starting noon and leaving by 2ish to not return for Sun.....so my advice if you are coming.....come quick in the early am for some serious good buys.......many dealers want to make some sales and I for one was able to make the sure fairly good by being able to buy many nice coins.......also I have 2005 eagle rolls available at $175 show special.....silver was up .27 yesterday!!!! it is heard on the street going back up........enjoy ....see ya!

Reading this report, I'm glad I decided not to make the trip. I was prepared to arrive when the doors opened Saturday and leave by 1PM, until I realized that the two guys I wanted to see probably wouldn't be there anyway (one is from southern Jesrey, the other from the Boston area).
So tell me more about this Parsippany show...

"Keep in mind that most of what passes as numismatic information is no more than tested opinion at best, and marketing blather at worst. However, I try to choose my words carefully, since I know that you guys are always watching." - Joe O'Connor
The show attracts a lot of collector traffic - it has been hard to get through the aisles for the past year or two.
As you might expect, the show mostly features mid-price range material, although you can find some higher-end (slabbed Bust dollars and halves, MS-65+ type, etc.) material as well. Regular dealer attendees include Carl Bombara (a great currency dealer), Dart Coins (Tom Stepanski), Avena Rare Coins, Tom Hyland and Randy Block (TomB knows many more of the dealers than I do). Harco Intl. (books and supplies) has also been a frequent attendee (they set up at White Plains, too).
It's almost as good a show as White Plains, for the most part.
