Another 1914-D...whats up with the mintmark?

is that a "D" below the "9"?

I've never seen the "D" on 1914-D cent so far left, directly below the "9." Has anyone else seen such a placement on a known to-be-genuine coin?

The picture isn't good (maybe because I'm on my laptop tonight), but the "4" in the date looks wrong.

I'd have to agree with Ziggy. Altered Date possibly. Hard to tell because pic is so Crappy.
  • Picture stinks but the mint mark does not appear to be in the right location.

Picture doesn't look good to me on my desktop either, ziggy. The placement of the more or less visible "D" bothers me, though. All TPG service slabbed 1914-D's that I've seen do not have the mintmark so far left.

  • Picture is way to terrible to tell.
