Ordered some boxes of wax the other day. Just received this through email:
Dear customer,
We are sorry to inform you that your recent order placed with
www.sportscardswholesale.com has been cancelled. Your credit card has
not been charged for this order. If you chose to send check, money order or
paypal please do not remit payment.
We are sorry for this inconvience.
Thanks Brooke
No explanation. So I figured ok it must be out of stock. Nope, they're still selling it on their site. I'm confused. First time I've ever seen a company turn away a customer without reason.

Is the price the same or did they raise it?
But if it was out of stock, wouldn't you think they'd have mentioned that in their email? And possibly saying please order again when we have more in stock or we'll let you know when we get more?
The only thing I can think of which I didn't mention in my original post is that I ordered several of the boxes in order to get the total over $100.00. They offer free shipping if your order exceeds $100. Would they cancel my order because they don't want to pay for the shipping?
<< <i>Card & Memorabilia websites are famous for not keeping their inventory current on their website. It has happened to me on more than one occasion. I'm sure they're probably just out of stock. That certainly doesn't make it any less annoying. I'm always pissed when it happens to me. >>
you are correct
In my case, I also ordered $100+ to get the free shipping. I paid with a credit card thru PayPal, which the seller charged the next day. I was sent an email indicating that EVERYTHING that I had ordered was out of stock and it would take 3 business days to get in stock. I also checked the website, but everything still showed it was still available.
After a couple weeks, I started calling them to find out where my cards were. They kept telling me either it was shipped (via USPS Priority Mail so they couldn't give me a tracking number) or it would be shipped. I finally did get half of my order.
At that point I worked with PayPal to get a refund of the stuff I didn't get. But since they had shipped me some of the items I ordered, PayPal stepped aside and said it was between me and the seller. So I went to my credit card company. A couple of days later sportscardswholesale.com issued me a refund for the remaining items, but kept $8 to cover shipping.
In the end, I either got a refund or the cards I ordered (minus $8 and a lot of time sending email and making phone calls). Bottom line, I will NEVER do business with them again and would strongly encourage anyone who is reading this not to either!!!!
