ungraded card descriptions and packaging - WTF?

OK. So I haven't bought a bunch of ungraded cards in a while.
Have the standards for a) selling b)sending cards been downgraded? W.T.F dept:
(names are slightly changed from ebay name)
azesstakes, jurky, tuffguys: cards with white border scanned against a white background, which naturally
hides some corner damage. It's like the seller looked at the scan and graded that rather than
looking at the card
weakstate: "please see picture for condition of card" lazy excuse - doesn't actually look at card,
has a big crease across 1/4 of card that conveniently doesn't show up in scan.
None of his store cards have an actual description - is this the standard for ebay stores now?
DO I HAVE TO ASK EVERY SELLER FOR A RETURN POLICY, or BUY THAT PAYPAL GUARANTEE FOR EVERY
TRANSACTION THESE DAYS??
1) bbdiamonds4never: in a flimsy top load, which was put in a team bag and taped tightly shut.
Then placed between on a priority mail ENVELOPE half and taped to it. Then the other half of the
envelope is taped to the first half. Then placed in a manila envelope and marked "do not bend"
as if he's done his job.
How about putting between two pieces of THICK CARDBOARD so that
a) the p.o. can't bend it without really going out of their way
b) I can open the card without having to spend 5 minutes cutting and trying not to bend
Card shows up with a crease not mentioned in auction. Maybe he creased it while taking this
flimsy excuse for packaging to the post office.
2) miscellaneous dodos:
put a card in a bubble padded envelope with no other protection at all, oblivious of how many
halves this package can be folded in. Do they really think that "crush" protection is all they need?
3) almost everyone: no note, no indication of what their ebay userid is.
4) people who don't send a card until they cash the MONEY ORDER (like 10 days later).
You expecting the government to fold so badly that USPostal MO's are going to bounce?
Maybe this is the new standard of customer service and I'm just living in "the way it used to be"

1967and 1973 Topps baseball wantlists (any condition) welcome. Once had the #14 ATF 1967 set. Yet another collector like skylaneflyer, gimel1 who made it to the completion of 1967 only to need the money more than the company of 609 close friends.
Looking for oddball Norm Cash and Cleon Jones stuff, and 1956 team cards

thats me..
i would expect most people to be able to look at their "items i won" list and figure it out..
you should not expect professional service from the average hobby person
LOL - buying raw cards off eBay is an adventure.
Many times way overgraded and poorly packaged for shipping.
But that's part of the charm.
You never know exactly what you'll end up with, so it's like opening a Birthday present.
Most times it's not what you really wanted, but every once in a while ...
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"

Azestatesales is John Staples from Arizona. Formerly brunellfan. He is an a$$.
I do agree with the other guys on Money orders. I sent out a card that was paid with a MO and cashed it later that week. Fake money order for $9.00. It cost me $25 because my bank said it was like a bounced check. Eventually got the $25 waived but I would wait too. Paypal is the only one that ships same day for me
Many banks place a hold on a money order just like a check. It is not the fact the MO may bounce there have been alot of bogus MOs passed in the past year or so. Postal Money orders though can be cashed at the PO and avoid that holding time.
I usually ship MO paid items within 2 days, unless I sense something maybe strange like the buyer trying to rush shipment that is a red flag to me that something might be up.
Granted, I lose alot of auctions that way but better safe than sorry.
For rare cards (I'm on the hunt for a Lou Brock RC) I'm heading towards the PSA BCG graded only.
But raw is still fun.
maybe except when I'm buying, say, multiple Norm Cash cards from the same year all at once.
Then there was my new friend who put his address only on the inside of the payment envelope and by
chance I found it. in the one sale we ever did. Now he's my "best friend" so all is forgiven
