How to tell the year of a vending case?

I have a case of Topps vending, but I'm not sure what year it is. Is there an easy way to tell? I think it's from 87 (I hope) or 88, but I'm not sure.

Is there any type of large black numbers on the outside of the case?? It should read -87 or -88 to let you know what year it is.
