JUST RELEASED! - 2005 British Uncirculated Silver Britannia

Up for grabs is a brand new 2005 Silver Britannia! The coin is GEM Brilliant Uncirculated with a brilliant "proof-like" finish. The coin contains 1.044 ounces of "Britannia" 0.958 fine silver (1 oz. net pure silver) and is legal tender in England with a face value of £2.

The stunning new design, by award-winning sculptor Philip Nathan, depicts a seated figure of Britannia, similar to that used on half pennies and farthings from 1672, which in turn reflected the original image of Britannia dating back to the Roman coins of Hadrian.

The Silver Britannia is arguably the most beautiful of all the world one ounce silver coins and is also very hard to find since few are typically exported to the United States. In fact, mintage is limited to only 100,000 coins world-wide!
