  • let me add, it's an ebay auction, and what I mean, is that it doesn't look like a GAI holder as the black should go up to the top to meet the lable
  • ahhh . . . never mind, must be my imagination running wild with all the talk of card switching as of late . . . say did you hear the one about the Rose rookie with the same two serial numbers. Whoops, I'm not supposed to talk about that, sorry, won't happen again, honest!
  • Hey Im kind of new hear and I wanted to know if you had AOL because I recently registered to PSA a couple of days ago and have a bunch of Questions on it.
  • If one joined the PSA collector's club for $99 so that they could get on the collector's forum, and, then got booted about talking about stuff they didn't know they were not supposed to talk about, such as, bringing up a subject they thought needed discussing, and then found out it wasn't supposed to be discussed, but they didn't know that, and it was all in complete ignorance because they didn't know they weren't supposed to not talk about it, but they did, but they get thrown off anyway . . . do you think they could get their $99 back.

    Uh, probably not.
  • hi, thibs, do you have questions on aol or PSA

    my email is billa1@verizon.net
  • Poof, it's gone
    Poof, it's gone

I'm a relative newby to the boards. I'm impressed, if only my teens were so efficient!!
  • Oh, so somebody else did notice all the poofs it's gone. Sorry, I'm not supposed to talk about poofs and other stuff. Honest, Won't happen again.
  • You have kids, PSA not AOl or we can talk about it on this.
  • okay, what are your questions, but keep them open and honest.
  • OK I have 1950-52 Bowman Football and Baseball. Bo you know anything about these? I have an Otto Graham 1950 card I know he was good back then. How good of condition do all of them have to be. I have about 250-350 cards total and I want to sell some of them. Dante Lavelli is another name. I registered to PSA for 99$ do they send you something before i start sending in cards. How can you figure out if you have commons or Stars. Thanks I might think of more, Thibs
  • Dear Thibs, re: your questions: "OK I have 1950-52 Bowman Football and Baseball. Bo you know anything about these? I have an Otto Graham 1950 card I know he was good back then. Everything you need is on this website. Wehn you joined for the $99, PSA gave you a username and a password, if you do not have it, give them a call and they will give it to you over the phone. On the website is SMR online, which will have all of your cards listed and the prices for the PSA grades; try to match up your cards with the grading definitions on the website; one of the great assets of joining PSA is the six free gradings you get for your cards; I suggest you pick te six most valuable cards in your best condition. If your "star" card is in lousy condition, pick a card in top condition. Look at your centering, corner wear etc. when picking your cards for grading. Yes, they will send you a packet of information with submittal forms, policies, how to grade cards, sleeves to put your cards in and all the instructions. Start by getting your username and password, they are open now as they are on the west coast. Call them. And get back on here if any more questions,
    Your friend,
    Bill
  • I have than already my username is thibs, but i just wanted to know are these cards good my otto graham is in good condition i think around a 6 what would it bring do you know.
  • Yes, the 1950- 1952 Bowman football and baseball cards are desirable and in high demand by collectors. The PSA 6 1950 Otto Graham goes for $200. How about baseball, Ted William? Yogi Berra? Pee Wee Reese?
  • I have the Yogi Berra but I think it has a crease on it.
  • thibs, you have a user name, how about a password? go to: www.psacard.com and click on SMR online, it is a price guide with all the prices for all the grades for your cards. If you do not have a password call PSA 1-800-325-1121 and they'll give it to you now. But, all of your cards are listed there and the best ones to look for.
  • crease definitely hurts the grade of the card, for example, if it would have been a six, a crease brings it to a 3. But, not the end of the world, it's till a Berra!
  • Yeah I have a password thank you for answering my question. Is the Berra still worth anything.
  • depending on how bad the crease, if not too heavy, and it comes back a PSA 3, it would be worth around $50 to $67.50. You may have some good cards in your lot. Don't be too quick to sell them without doing your homework. Got to go to dinner, will be on later.

Welcome aboard, thibs, you'll have a lot of fun. Join in on the other threads, too.

    Bill
