Gotta be there on business -- can anyone make a recommendation with info on the shop?
Thanks in advance!

Hope someone else can provide additional info.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
If you want to have an interesting chat, drop by Worldwide on Fulton. He generally has terrible inventory but is a nice guy that has plenty to say about PCGS.
My number one most recommended shop is in Amador County( where I use to live).
Cozy Collectables ( Bob Coza) Sutter Creek. I would recomend the drive, from Sac (45 minutes) Small inventory but Nice stuff, Greysheet prices, very nice guy and a good friend. If your not seeing much in the display cases get him to pull some of the stuff out of the back.If your in to Antique firearms and pocket watches he is also the guy to visit. Besides the coin shop in Sutter Creek you can spend the day enjoying all that miner 49er atmosphere that the area has to offer!
Hope this helps... Text
that ...most... of the residents will not buy ANYTHING unless it is
severly underpriced (or better yet, a "closeout")
Many, many MANY ...EXTREMELY... nice coins pass through Sacramento dealers.
But not to Sacramentans. Any dealer with a lick of sense will know
enough not to even SHOW nice coins to "most" locals.
If a Sacto dealer is lucky enough to get a customer who will recommend
him, he will get someone who says his inventory is "terrible" but he's a
"nice guy."
The nice stuff in Sac trades between a few dealers and customers who do
NOT play games. They know their stuff and will pay what it is worth.
A lot of the good stuff that comes IN to a Sac dlr goes OUT to a show
or a wholesaler.
Before I moved here (now retired and thankfully out of the shop) I used
to live in a town about 50 miles away and could make a TWICE A WEEK foray
into Sacto, pick up coins that locals would just pass by and resell them
to other DEALERS and still make a profit.
A "key" to a Sacto dealer's heart is to be specific and demonstrate that
you will pay a fair price for a coin.
He has ALREADY had 15 0r 20 "tire kickers" that day.
Why ELSE would so many posters have noticed that Sacto dealers are less
than eager to show everything they have?
They have simply ....LEARNED.... their town.
