Do any of you use the "my collection" on heritage to keep up with your coins?

If so, is it a good system? I haven't messed with it yet..

    I actually use it semi-often.

Buyer and seller of vintage coin boards!
  • try it you will like it, instant pop numbers, numismedia wholesale ask and number of heritage members that have your coin on there want lists.
  • I use MS Excell and Access Data Base

I used to use it when I had a pretty good collection of PR Jeffs but since I sold them all off, I only use it to show what I've purchased thru Heritage auctions. As I remember, not a bad way to keep up with your collection but there has to be a better place to store the entire amount of ones collection then on their web site.

I do remember that if you got anything from a Heritage auction and either purposely or accidentally deleted any of the info (goes up automatically for you after purchase), you'll play hell getting any of it back.
Everything starts and everything stops at precisely the right time for precisely the right reason.

I use it; works well for me.

  • It's a convenient way to keep the info in my own inventory logs accurate, like dates and prices, and I like to compare their pics to mine now that I'm doing my own. Funny how their lousy pics always make for a pleasant surprise in hand when buying for looks, reality always beats the image in their case.

I had (and still have) my Morgan collection there. I go and look whenever I want to see the collection I once had!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

It's slow and a little tedious, and you have to use a link to post your pictures, but it has lots of information/capacities, and prints out a pretty summary of your collections. Best of all, it's free.

I use it. That way Heritage can track the coins that I own and regularly call and ask me if I want to consign any.

I made my own Excel spreadsheet, which has the vital info.

It seems like the numismedia wholesale ask is WAY off. Is there a different way it tracks values?

I use it. It's one way of having the total value calculated & up do date. That is if you want to use that as a value source.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

  • I use it and like it. It's a nice feature, but slow on my dial-up connection.

  • I use it for all coins purchased from Heritage. I do not enter coins purchased outside of the Heritage auction house. They keep track of what you have and I don't feel it's any of their business!

hmm I did not know that - not sure if that is correct but I guess I can't know right? image

  • I get that feeling. Reason: I began to receive heaps of email and postal literature after I began to purchase from Heritage. True, maybe it's because I started to purchase from them. I've been called, a few times, and asked if I would be interested in selling my collection. image

  • I've used it for a couple years now as I can't find receipts for anything after a couple of days.

Every coin I purchase from Heritage is automatically entered into a "coins from Heritage" collection. The price and auction photo
are there and the picture link has the auction number. Don't see a ref. for the lot no. though.

I don't remember having to set up this collection. It's just there with the other collections that I list.

I use it more than anything else. It's simple, easy to use and it's free. It also gives you an idea of the value of your collection.

I don't particularly care if Heritage can see what I have there or not. They are wastin their $$$ soliciting consignments from me.

Yeah, but there that part has flaws. I once found that I had purchased some very high dollar coins for my collection without even bidding or buying.
