1893-s pcgs vf35 maybe around $6500 one recently sold at the Heritage FUN auction for a tad over $7100 IIRC.
Number two would be between a 03-s in 63 and a 94 in 62 both PCGS slabbed Morgans.

My most valuable coin is not a coin but a token. The value is the history behind it.

More than $1,000 but less than $10,000.

    That's all I'll say.

I like this answer. I would agree by saying a Dollar. Although some coin collectors would argue otherwise!

The most valuable one I currently own is a 1893-S dollar in PCGS VF30. Optimisticly it's worth around $6200. Realisticly it's around $5800-$6000. I would concider it a near VF35. I've contemplated the ol crackout game a few times, but never could bring myself to pull the trig... I mean... uh... hammer.

I am a lightweight. For intrinsic worth (still somewhat relative) my Gold Mexican 50 Pesos has about $500 worth of Gold. What another "fool who has bought into the numismatic hype" might pay for my priciest coin is about $1,000.00. Actually it depends what PCGS says about my coin as it is in to be graded. If PCGS says it is an AU55 maybe $1,000.00, if the PCGS Gods say AU58, it would be worth $1500.00 +.

my most valuable coin is a 1797 half dollar. it's a total piece of junk, holed, bent, plugged, straightened, repaired & artificially retoned. it's an absolutely rock-bottom scum-bucket stomach-churning chunk of dog-meat garbage ..... & i love it.

  • 1895-O Morgan PCGS XF40. Just snuck into that grade, in my opinion. I've seen several price guides with it at $850, but doubt I could get a buyer for more than $550-$600. Doesn't matter anyhow, as I need it for my set.

  • My top three....
1921-D VAM-1AG Morgan (now VAM-1AA LDS). Shown in my author icon. I think there's only a handful known.
1921-D VAM-1AT "Jet O" Morgan. Last I heard, only three or four known.
1889-O Morgan with a 45 degree rotated die. Worn, but looks cool.
Not sure of the value... would guess around $50-100 each.
  • I think either my 1926-S PCGS VF-25 Buffalo nickel, or my 1809 ANACS AU-50 Bust Half.... depends on the price guide and/or person doing the valuation.image

My most valuable coin should be the problem-free raw Fine 1895-O dime I won off eBay without sniping while I was fishing near the Minnesota/Ontario border a coule of years ago. Since then, I paid twice as much for a PCGS-65 1936 Cincinnati half dollar, which commemorates nothing. I like them both.
