An example of an NGC slab that will grade lower at PCGS

Here is a 1941 S NGC MS64 that I know for sure will grade MS63 or lower at PCGS. This coin to me is a 63 weak strike from the looks of the photos. Should I bid?eBay linky

Not too certain of that. Way too much glare in the photo to make that determination.

    Just my eversohumble opinion.

The 1941-S is normally weakly struck so that alone would not put it in an MS63 holder. There's really no way to tell one way or the other from those tiny images.

IMHO,I think the coin looks pretty nice, clean,no major hits that I can see,the luster looks average for a walker.

If you "know for sure", or even think it, why would you bother to bid or ask the forum's opinion?

By the way, other factors aside, which can't be seen from the images anyway, that strike is not too weak (for a 1941-S) for an MS64 at PCGS in my opinion.
  • Thanks for the replies. I think I will bid and if anything keep it in the NGC slab.
