Non-Sport Set well, sorta...Snooker Campions of 1936

image

Gawd I love these English Tobacco Cards. Plentiful and affordable pre-war cards. Some can be considered true works of art. Others can depicit <sp> American Stars and all sorts of interesting topics. A 34 set went off on ebay today. I was thinking of getting it but alas I like many already had too many sticks in the fire and I think I am going to cover as many topics within these issues as possible and not stick with any one series or subject.

Steve
Good for you.

I like those billiard cards; they capture the intense concentration required to pocket a ball. I like the billiard subset in T218 (?) set too, but they just blow up pricewise when they're up on ebay.

It's easy to start accumulating dups if you chase the same kinds of set. How many Jackie Cooper cards with basically the same pose does one need?

    Hi Steve
I like those sets - you'll even find pool players in some really high end sets too. Like the 33 sport kings Willie Hoppe.

Forget about the amount of sets that the same player appears, I was working on packing up my room so my wife can paint and realized I bought the same set TWICE! image
