1965 Topps 2 Mint 9 guys wreaking havoc.

Recently, 2 serious (coin) guys have emerged and the price of the 9's that they want can sell for as much as 500.00. I have seen cards that 2 - 3 months ago, that went for 50.00 on averag, now get as much as 4 times that easily. Add the number 1 guy into the mix (who is much more prudent) and you have a very volitile mix. Even LMAYER has had to up his bid for them, LOL. In any event I will just sit back and look. Thinking to myself, best of luck to them I'll look at another series. If I had any 1965 Topps Psa 9 now is a great time to sell.

Coin as in money....not as a collectible.

Serious as in "a lot", not "relationship".

I think LMAYER raised his price level by the rate of inflation.

1967and 1973 Topps baseball wantlists (any condition) welcome. Once had the #14 ATF 1967 set. Yet another collector like skylaneflyer, gimel1 who made it to the completion of 1967 only to need the money more than the company of 609 close friends.
Looking for oddball Norm Cash and Cleon Jones stuff, and 1956 team cards
  • You are right-I had to blank my set on the registry as they were gaming me.These guys are like Prime Eagle in 61 who drove Rob crazy.I finally won one tonight at 180 dollars for a 1/4 which is a little high but in the ball park.I am so close to 9.0 I can taste it but these guys are delaying my quest.I normally pay around 400 for a 10.Peters went for 888 dollars to rum tonight.I will just wait them out.I bought two 1/1 the other night from another collector at a reasonable price.I guess its all part of the game.I continue to sell the 8's that I upgrade to other set builders without even having to list them.I always try to price them fairly as I believe we as collectors should try and help each other.Over time these guys will get what they need and prices will return to normal-so 65 collectors hang in there and be patient-I have seen this happen before.Thank you for your kind words on the set registry Steve.I have enjoyed helping you build your set.I have also been helping Gary Oyler who is close to completion-he is a great guy.-Duke

1965 PSA 9's for sale? OK--I just listed 8, all with pops of 7 or less. If I could add linkage, I would.

    Enjoy the spamarama!

Looking into my crystal ball I see Rum29 as the winner of the Cimolli. I'd bid on a few, but, from where you have started them they are already out of my reach.
    Good for you.
