This is your last chance to buy a Keelboat nickel for $10,000 Hurry!

Extremely rare, so rare that criminals have been known to attempt to fraudulantly sell them "by the roll." (One can only determine that they are fraudulant by opening the rolls.) Obverse is typical Jefferson Nickel, but reverse shows an image of a sail boat used by these intrepid explorers.

His only feedback is from the guy he bought the nickel from.

I know its been posted before but this question was added to the auction.

Q: Is this a mistake in your listing? If it's not, I think your listing is against Ebay listing rules. Also think it's very interesting that you've been a member since 2003, but never bought or sold anything. Answered on Jan-17-05

A: I obtained it through an 'insider' channel which I will not even ATTEMPT to explain, directly from the denver mint.

He has 100% feedback, what more could a buyer want?

He didn't even leave positive feedback for the seller.

I would not bid on it because he does not offer shipping insurance. After all if I'm going to pay $10,000 for a coin that's worth maybe 25 cents I would like to have it insured against loss. (that guy must have the IQ of a turnip)

Who is General Failure, and why is he reading my hard drive?

I was thinking about making him an offer of 5000.00
but that's against Ebay rules so i don't think he'll go
    for it.image

  • I wonder if he will accept $9,998?
