Who is Homiss on eBay?

This guy has dropped serious moolah on some real nice 9's and 10's lately. I've yet to see him not win an item he bid on!

"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

He is a rookie card collector who has a phenomenal collection.

He is very closely linked to the game of baseball - and enjoys buying cards and opening packs/boxes/cases in the offseason.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Unfortunately, we have nearly the same collecting interests.

Fortunately, I already have several of the cards he is bidding on.

He sure likes that 1978 Topps Lou Whitaker RC! He bought a couple of them off of me. In fact, he seems to like most of the Tigers' cards.

    I wonder...Hmmm...??

This is a great thread, it will drive some people crazy trying to figure it out.

There's enough clues that if anyone searched the forums - they would figure it out

  • I know who he is. He invented those pesky "peel here" stickers that come on all new CDs, video games and DVDs. You have to peel them off with a knife...after you lose a fingernail.

Those stickers on cd's are a tremendous pain to get off. I think they put them on there to make you feel foolish for taking twenty minutes to get the damn things off.

Have you ever gone to a "newbury comics" or some other store where "ultra wierdos" are working? The slide the CD back and forth over the counter. The plastic just shreds off. Then they pop the CD cover open from top to bottom, instead of us doing it right to left. Then jus simply peel the sticker off. I was so amazed watching a 17 year old kid do this.....I make them open all my CD's before I levae. They can do 5 in about 1 minute!!!

Why not? Ebay specifically has taken away the ability to figure out someone's ebay id from their e-mail address. If he wanted his identity widely known - he would change his ebay name to his real name or something.

Can't we just be happy that there is a super-interested baseball card collector that can help pump some money into the hobby which we all know and love? Most big dealers and collectors are aware of the other major players in the hobby. It's kind of like the yacht question: If you need to ask....

but when i see the edited posts, its like a top secret government project or something..
