Ouch, i've had those kind of submissions. Thankfully not as many anymore. The hard part is getting rid of them.
  • What are the 67s worth?
  • I feel you man. My first state quarter submission was similar. All MS66 and MS67s. Now I'm pretty certain I can pick an MS68, they're just hard to find. At least you can turn those MS67s off for $10 a pop.

    Yes it is!

  • It's a tough row to hoe at times. I got back great results on Monday for the first time in months!
  • The CTs and VAs were from a mixed bag from the mint while the MIs were from mint rolls.

Have you guys had better quality coins from bags, rolls, or sets?

I'm not gonna let it get me down...just placed a subscription for 10 two roll sets.

Think that's enough to maybe find one or two good uns?

You should be able to get your grading fees back on the 67's on eBay ($10-$14 range).

The 66's will bring in $2-$4

If you think it's hard to get rid of MS67s, try getting rid of some of the modern PF67s I've made. image

Sniperfire, consider it another installment on your numismatic tuition. We've all paid it, and you're smarter today because of it.

... Think of it as a $144 grading lesson. Less after you sell the loos... low grade coins.

I think my last one like that was SMS coins. I had a boat load of 1965 nickels I was certain were cameos. Not one CAM'd. Worth about $6 each in SMS MS66.

  • I avoid MS state quarters like the plague.

I haven't submitted a MS SQ since 2002. All were MS66 (PCGS). Fortunately, I was able to get rid of them all for $15-20 on eBay. that was before the MS67/68 explosion. Silver PCGS PR69DCAMs are all I'll collect from that series.

Congratulations! Very nice. I don't see why you would be unhappy. No body bags and all high-grade coins returned. I WISH my no motto seated quarters would have such a nice result. I don't collect 20th/21st century coins, but for the 19th and 18th century where I do collect, I rarely see coins in those grades.

I'm in the same boat. Thought I knew enough about Kennedys after a yera. Sent in about 20 of them. Highest was a SINGLE MS 66, that was a 1965 so it was worth the trip on that coin. The others were 63-65(few). My second batch wasn't much better. That's why it has taken me about 3+ years to dare and submit one more time....... STILL waiting! Keep it up, sooner or later, your eyes will be better and get better results. Last year I has a POP 1 Kennedy for almost a year-it was pulled from an early roll of coins. The mint sets were not much better in 2003. Ray
