Some Munson turnaround grades

For anyone interested, a couple of turnaround grades: 1977 Topps Thurman Munson SGC 92, PSA 7 (ouch) and 1976 Topps Thurman Munson GAI 8, PSA 7. Yeesh. I wasn't expecting higher grades, but I thought that the SGC 92 would at least come back an 8. Paid $53 for it! On the bright side, I bought a raw 77 Topps Munson on Ebay and it came back an 8 (this is a tough one to get in an 8 or 9).

Interesting. I saw that Munson on eBay and wanted to buy it myself. I've actually had a SGC 96 of the very same year (not the same card mind you) come back a PSA 7. That hurt. Good luck in the future with your crossovers. BTW - I love the 77 Munson card as well.

Thanks for the reply. That '77 Munson is ridiculously tough. I've never seen a gradeable one at a show, and there are only (8) PSA 9s. I got one a few months ago on Ebay but had to cough up $212 for it. I actually think I might be able to get more for it now, but I'm holding on to it for the kids...

That '77 is indeed tough. I've got a PSA 8 that I bought cheap on eBay but I swear it's a 6 in an 8 holder as much as I hate to admit that.
