Old issue but new problem POST OFFICE issue

As of late my mail getting to me just plain sucks. 5 packages missing ...shipped anywere were from 10 days ago to 20. OK I can wait...The problem is I sent a package with delivery confirmation and it has been 2 weeks. When I go the the usps website it has no info package not....blah blah. I have the recipet and the other package I shipped same day and reciept arrive 7 days ago farther away form me. 2 questions will paypal reverse the funds if it never arrives? Buyer refused INS I suggested it he turn it down. Or give it some more time befor I really worry?

me too.. i just got this email from a buyer:

<< <i>STILL waiting for this item VERY SLOW shipping. I've purchased item since this one & already have received them. NOT IMPRESSED! >>

i shipped it January 2nd, and with delivery confirmation.. according to the USPS website, it's still floating around somewhere.. it says it was "accepted for delivery 1/2/05 in Jacksonville, Florida" or something like that..

not much i can do, i guess..

  • I have on occasion had this problem and once I scanned a copy of the postal receipt and email it to the buyer. It seemed to satisfy him that it was a post office issue and not that I hadn't shipped it out...

Exactly, one of my buyers was satisfied with a scan and number also, and his eventually got to him, but took about a month, when normally maybe 1 full week. At least you have proof though with the confirmation receipt....

  • Unless it shows delivered Paypal will refund if they bring them into it.

Insurance protects the seller not the buyer, it is the responsibility of the seller to make sure the card gets to the buyer. If the situation were reversed and you were waiting on payment, you would want them to resend the payment right?? Shouldn't the buyer get the same treatment from the seller.

NO NOPE I don't think so if I declined insurance and the seller can prove they sent it. It is on my dime. I totaly disagree. He paid it is his card I sent as herequested..he declined insurance for his card.

I will email him the reciept in a few days hopefuly it will arrive.

  • Paypal won't feel that way though.. They will refund him if it does not show delivered.

Your item was delivered at 2:31 pm on January 18, 2005 in HURLOCK, MD 21643.

Where is the person that says what do you expect for .82 cents?

  • Unless it's like a $20 item, I always ship with insurance... because it does protect your rear... and, it also protects your reputation as a seller, that if an item is lost, that you refund their money, and get the insurance claim... of course, you don't give them the refund until they fulfill their end of the insurance claim... image
