1970 Topps grading question

1970 Topps cards are often seen with a straight, solid black or white line showing at the top or bottom (the dividing line between the cards on the uncut sheet I assume?). What's been your experience or knowledge with regard to how PSA treats this? Is it similar to a rough cut where it's basically ignored or is it considered a flaw? I believe my past experience is that it hasn't detracted but it's been awhile since I've submitted any '70T.

  • I have a 1970 Willie Mays that got a 7. I thought the card had a shot at an 8. But I don't believe the white line, in this case, had anything to do with the grade.

i've got some with the white line as well and it is no where near the cut line...the card is centered and the white line runs across the top.

    Thanks,

  • for the 1970 cards, the white line is ignored. i have many 9's and seen 10's with this line.
