What would you expect this tobacco card to look like?

Would:
a.) there definitely be a card in this?
b.) it be in any kind of collectible condition?
c.) you open the pack to get to the card or leave it unopened?

The tax stamp date and the factory info would tell you a lot. Check Net 54, there has been a lot of discussion on these packs lately.
For me, I'd leave it unopened. Its most likely to have a bird or a flag card, and the condition wouldn't be that great. Worth more as a companion piece to a T card collection.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

  • Mark,

Check his feedback purchases. I see alot of old balls bought (ford frick ) an old fountain pen and 1950's period ink. Not to mention the batch of reprints and Josh's Mantle guide. That is only looking at about 7 or 8 auctions won by him.
Me thinks these things look a little fishy.

    Hi Mark
An unopened pack is a great companion piece to any T206 collection - I would not open it - even if there is a card in there - what the heck would it look like after lying next to 100 yr old tobacco?
At one time these packs were considered more valuable than now and I would question whether the pack has been very carefully opened and resealed - just a thought.

I can say for certain one thing, there is NO million dollar card inside that pack. Gullible new ebayer pays 454.00 would be better off buying 454 lottery tickets.
    Good for you.
