I'm quite altruistic and wanted to give a board member first chance at that steal.image

Would that be Ralph from Green Acres?image
  • According to the ANACS attribution, this is the rarer "narrow bust point" variety which Rick Snow at Eagle Eye estimates there are about 10 known - I can't tell form the crappy picture whether ANACS has correctly attributed this coin - even though it's a scarcer variety, it is NOT worth what this very uninformed promoter would have you believe. It's a sub-variety of the much more common J-211, most of which are the "broad bust point" Depending on the actual quality of the coin, it's value is anywhere from $500 (a scrubbed FUGLY coin) to maybe $2000-$2500 or so, if it were a really nice original coin that might upgrade.

I think I have one of this variety that is graded PR65Cameo that I would be happy to sell for considerably less than half of his BIN price.

BTW, Here's Rick's coin, which is the Broad bust variety and a very nice coin:

    1858 INDIAN HEAD PATTERN COIN, R-7, PR63+(J211-P255)
For Future Sale After Re-slabbing Due To Home Fire

Very interesting - I offered him 2 of mine for 20K apiece - left him some upside potential. image
