Good show. I look forward the pt2 tonight.

    Loves me some shiny!
  • Simply awesome show. I drooled over some of the memorabilia . . . tickets, autographs, photos, posters used by Burns in its production. I'm sure both parts will be rerun, so watch your listings and watch this show!
  • That was a powerful documentary highlighting the "black and white" conflict through boxing.

Didn't Ken create the Baseball History documentary also?

Unforgivable Blackness is definitely a show for the DVD collection.

  • Burns is magnificent.

The Baseball series - all nine "innings" of it - is one of the most amazing pieces of filmmaking I've ever seen. But his masterpiece is the "Jazz" series. Absolutely tremendous. I actually teared up during the segment when Louis Armstrong died - and I knew he was dead already. image

Several people I know who previously disliked jazz became fans after seeing Burns' film.

I hadn't heard about Unforgiveable Blackness, but you can bet I'll be searching for it.
